Strange, thought Jon. "Kevin?" he said to the girl with a half-open jacket and breast bindings. "Did you hear the wish? In the new reality you must have been a girl for at least a month, since Megan thinks I've been dating her since then. So reality can't be that you just changed now."

"I heard you say something. I didn't hear exactly what it was... what's this about a wish? What did you do to me?! I can't believe I'm a girl now!" Kevin started crying again. "And I'm getting feelings... I can't even imagine being attracted to Megan any more. I remember being attracted to Megan but now I can't bring myself to think girls are hot."

"I wish you're a guy." Nothing happened for that wish, not even a flash. "I guess I can't change you back."

"Do something! If you're some kind of genie...."

Jon quietly put his hand in hos pocket, still holding the rock and hoping Kevin didn't see it. "I'm not a genie, but fine," he said. "This started with a wish that made me a girl but looking like my old self. Let's see just how much like your old self a girl can be. I wish that Kevin looks exactly like the old Kevin but still has female sex organs so he's technically a girl, but looks like a guy in every other way and everyone thinks he's one." In an instant, Kevin's jacket was shut and there was no sign of breast bindings. It looked like Kevin had a half day without shaving. "Say something," said Jon.

"I'm still not me," said Kevin in his own male voice this time.

"But it was the best I could do," said Jon. "You're a guy to everyone and you don't have to worry about your voice, or people seeing you with your shirt off or noticing you don't shave. They all remember you as a guy, and everyone at home certainly does, since the magic didn't even reach there." Jon wondered if his mother still thought of Jon as a girl in disguise, though. "I'll wish that I'm not dating Megan if that's still a problem. And if I think of something better I'll let you know, okay?"
