"Can't remove it, you say? I assume you tried willing it back into a glove?" he continued after a sidelong glace confirmed that Nick was nodding "Well I've not heard of such a problem before, perhaps the two issues are linked. Never can tell when combining magics you know, we try to confirm stability before passing these things around, but some are inherently chaotic, especially the older ones. You had removed it before, and now you can't?" Nick nodded. "When was the last time you had it off?"
Nick considered, running through the order of events "I mean, I tried removing it right after I left here yesterday. I don't think I took it off at all since then, I guess... I kinda passed out drunk last night and left it on, then this morning I used it a bit, but I only really tried to take it off before getting in the shower. That's when I found out I couldn't."
Mr. Fisk looked up from his examination of the medallion to consider for a moment. "tell me something... are you right handed or left handed?"
Nick started to answer "Uhh, well right...wait... come to think of it, Megan is left-handed, and I think that's what I am now." He held up Megan's delicate left hand, realizing he'd been using that hand for most things he would use his own right hand for.
Mr. Fisk nodded "yes that explains one aspect of this... the glove as you know is left-handed, and it does seem to be intensified somewhat when worn by a left-handed user... something about how the brain is more in tune with it in lefties, I suppose." Now he frowned. "but that doesn't explain why it won't come off... so am I to understand you had not removed it before using the medallion of Zulo today?" he asked
"I guess not, but I think I was naked at the time..." Nick confessed, " I didn't want any other clothing interfering."
"Hmm... naked, you say? Interesting... still, do you recall if you did indeed pick up the medallion with your left hand?"
Nick felt a growing fear in the pit of his already hangover-wracked stomach "umm... I don't know... "he thought about where the purse had been, and how he reached down into it. "I think so, but I'm not sure"
