Lonna slipped her foot out of her sneakers. Lauren picked one up. They looked exactly like hers, but two sizes too small. Lonna might be the same height as her, but they didn't share a shoe size.
"I don't think these are mine," Lonna said, sharing the thought, looking down at the heels, still confused.
Lauren sighed and put the heels back on. The last thing she wanted was to walk around barefoot. Lonna did the same. "I guess we have to get to class," she said.
"Dressed like this?" Lonna replied. "People will talk."
Lauren looked at herself in the mirror. "I don't know...I'm starting to think this makes me look more mature," she said.
"And these clothes are much more comfortable," Lonna exclaimed, looking at herself. "People expect teachers to look professional. Do you think I don't dress down on the weekends?"
Lauren brushed off her clothes from where she'd fallen and chuckled. "You know, with you dressed like that, carrying my bag, you could be mistaken for a student."
Lonna studied her reflection. "Do you really think so?" She asked.
