Reaching in, Nick felt the medallion, just as a small electric tingle shot through him, no doubt another "aftershock" from earlier. Pulling out the medallion from its plastic bag, Nick carefully pulled out his shirt from yesterday. Then, he paused... "there are other possibilities here" he thought. "why be yesterday's me, when I could be me from a few years ago?"
He considered, an odd little pout appearing on Megan's face, just as the legs beneath him buckled a bit. "feeling odd and a bit woozy... must be that orgasm combined with the hangover" he thought as a bit of last evening's feeling a frailty came back. He now just wanted to be himself again, so he went into his closet and pulled out some boxes, rooting through them quickly as another wave of faintness passed over him.
"Ahh... this will do" he said aloud, Megan's voice cracking a bit, as he pulled out a ski jacket. He hadn't worn this since about three or four years ago, when he was dating a girl who loved skiing. He was never into it really, but of course went along with her anyway... she always liked to unwind after a day of skiing with a good bout of sex, and that Nick had been into.
Nick now went over to sit on the bed, the feel of the silk sheets only momentarily distracting him. He held the medallion out and touched the ski jacket, waiting for the electric tingle.
Nothing.
He held it there for a minute.... still nothing.
"Maybe it is working and I just didn't feel it" he thought. Just then he felt another wave of dizziness, and thought that maybe this was part of the transformation. He did in fact remember a similar sensation the first time. Relieved, Nick put on some of his pants and a t-shirt, which hung loosely and looked ridiculous for now, then went to sit on the couch to wait until he filled out his clothes. Meanwhile, he saw that he had a message waiting, so he dialed in to his voice mail and listened...
