"Oh that felt so strange" said Karyn. "It was like I was nowhere. How did you do that?"
"I figured that if it turns someone into someone else, it might be able to make someone else for real if it had memorized the someone else. I..." And he explained everything.
"I'm not completely sure I get it. How did you find out about that 'TWINS' setting anyway?" asked Karyn.
"Oh" replied Jon, "lucky guess. Gwen said people thought she was so fat there were two of her."
"But it gives me an idea."
"What, Karyn?"
Karyn grabbed the remote and pointed it at Jon. Suddenly there were two of him--but the rock dropped to the ground between them. The rock couldn't be split. Then she pointed it at herself and she split in two the same way. She didn't even feel any change, it happened so fast. Each Jon looked identical and so did each Karyn--and both Karyns had what looked like the same remote.
Both Karyn's started to speak, and there was an awkward moment. "We separate. I and one of you go away to one part of the forest..."
"And" continued the other, "I go away with the other one. And after a while we can meet for dinner and tell each other what we figured out."
One Karyn and one Jon went west and the other pair east. Until the Jon in the west said, "Wait a minute, the stone's gone! It must have dropped at..."
A moment later, the Jon in the east happened to notice it took. "Where's the stone, it must be back at..."
Both Jon/Karyn pairs raced back to the campsite, and laughed a little when they saw the other pair had arrived at the same time. But Gwen was holding the stone. "No, Gwen, that's dangerous/Gwen, no, you could hurt someone with that!" yelled the Jons.
Perhaps Gwen had passed by before and overheard them talking about the stone, because she proceeded to say "I wish...."
