Nick considered the disclaimer, and though it looked to him like one of those side effect disclaimers on the drug ads, he thought that a little caution wouldn't be a bad idea... after all, was there some sort of government or consumer protection agency that oversaw magic? He didn't think so. Still, if this thing worked, it would make using the amulet a lot simpler, and save a lot of hassle. He decided that just using it cautiously would be safe enough.

Stepping out of the shop, he ducked into a nearby alley, and took a good look at the glove. It was a niecly made, but simple brown leather glove, that looked like it was probably designed for a woman, but could have been made for a man with smaller hands. As Nick turned it around, he could have sworn that it shrunk a bit, and the stitching seemed finer, with the overall effect making it seem more feminine. More magic? Or just a psychological trick? He started to slide it on, hoping that it would fit, and sure enough it slipped easily but snugly on to his delicate, feminine hand, truly fitting like a glove. Nick decided that it was magically adjusting to its wearer, which seemed to make sense, given its supposed abilities. Without any further delay, he tried to activate it.
