I looked away, rubbing my eyes and when I looked back, everything was different. I was no longer standing in the street down from my house. I was no longer even in my town. Heck, I probably wasn't even on earth anymore.
I was now standing in what looked like a medieval street, but there were more than just humans walking about; I saw dwarves, a few elves, dragonborn, halflings and even a few half-orcs and maybe more. Somehow the wish had sent me into a D&D; like world.
Clutching the stone, I ducked down an alley, then another and another until I was in one that was quiet and empty. Nervously I looked down and saw I was wearing leather armour that bulged slightly around the chest where my new breasts were. My limbs were lithe and my skin smooth. Long hair fell down into my vision and I could see that it was silky and in some places braided.
"Oh crap," I whispered, "I'm Elutian." Somehow the wish had turned me into my new D&D; character; we'd only rolled our characters last week and were due to start this Friday. I'd never played before, just read novels and comics, and was excited to play my first game; somehow the stone had taken that excitement as my wish even though I hadn't been actively thinking about it and in spite of the fact that D&D; was just harmless fun - I didn't actually want to be Elutian!
I gulped, worried about what was going to happen next.
