Jonnie and Karyn had never wished for Jon to change sex. Karyn did wish to see Jon become a mother, but that had already happened. So, thought Jonnie, if she wished herself back, it probably wouldn't count as reversing a wish.

"I wish to become male." Suddenly Jon felt different, and looking himself over he could see he had returned to his normal male self. Whew.

"So now you're a guy mother. Have you decided on names for your babies?" giggled Karyn.

"I don't know, we were all leopards, I wasn't expecting to name them."

"Come on, pick something."

"I can't think of anything except variations of my own name," replied Jon.

"So use mine. Pick something that starts with a 'K' sound."

"I suppose. Okay, they're Kathy and Carol. It doesn't matter, I'm going to fix this...."

"What are you going to do, Jon?"

"I'm not sure..." he said. "But first, I'm not a girl, and second, being a teenage mother isn't a good thing. I can't just keep them here. But I don't want to give them to someone else either. And you're right about making them vanish--that would be murder. What can I do? Hmm... I know!"

"Did you think of something?" asked Karyn.

"Sure. I wish that those two girls would be old enough to take care of themselves, and that they would know what girls that age normally know even though they don't remember anything. And I wish that they're in their own house right now, and living well because all records show they have very rich parents who died recently, and no other relatives. I also wish that nobody will care that they don't have any memories or that nobody's heard of them until now."

The babies vanished.

Karyn giggled a bit. It didn't quite seem appropriate.

"Karyn?" asked Jon.

"Oh, nothing" said Karyn. "You'll find out, I bet."

"Come on, I want to know! It's got to be important."

"Ignore me, okay? It's not important."

A few days later, Jon found out. The school day was over, and he was walking away with Karyn, discussing the stone, which after recent events he wasn't all that eager to use.

Suddenly Jon spotted a flash of pink out of the corner of his eye. He said, "Karyn, do you feel like we're being watched? I could swear I saw..."

She looked around and saw movement near the street. "Over there! Behind that car! I saw someone."

Jon whispered, "Why don't you go around the back, I'll go around the front. Maybe we can catch him."

Karyn nodded and they walked around the car. But there was no need for any more stealth--because the two teenage girls that were hiding behind the car ran up to Jon and gave the surprised teen a big hug. They were very pretty, had brown hair longer than Jon's but the same color, and both of them looked a lot like female Jon, except they were a bit younger, maybe age 15. One said "I'm Kathy!" and the other said "I'm Carol!" And then together, to Jon, "Hi Mom!"

And then Jon knew what he had forgotten. Karyn had wished that they'd know he was their mother. So even if they didn't have anything else to remember, there was always that....
