Keeping an eye on dad

Nick didn't know much about what happened on the day his father died. No one wanted to tell a ten year old.
Nick decided if he followed his dad he might be able to keep him fromstepping out in front of that truck.
In Megan's body he followed his dad after he left the park. He watched him drop off his younger self and walk to a pizza joint near there. Nick decided he would have to go in. Nick ordered a slice of pizza and a beer. He got a seat across from where his dad was seated. He swore he saw his father take a look at him. He looked away on an instictual level he worried that his father would recognize him but that was just silly.
Nick was having trouble eating much in Megan's body so he still had a lot left when his father got up to leave.
Nick waited a moment and followed.
He was just a little bit behind his father when he saw his father bend down in the middle of the street and pick up a coin. A truck was speeding down the road towards him. Nick ran to him and tackled him knoking him out of the way just in time. Nick scraped Megan's leg pretty bad but Nick's father was alive.
"Thank you, I think you may have saved my life." Nick's father said, "I'm Nick."
Nick stumbled a bit, "I'm uhhh.... Megan."
"Well, Megan let me take you to my apartment and get that cleaned up. It's the least I can do." Nick's father said helping her up.
"I guess that would be ok."Nick said and allowed herself to be led by Nick Sr. to his Apartment.....
