As the two drove around town in Sherry's convertable looking for a place to stop, Jon pulled down the visor and got a look at himself in the mirror.
His eyebrows were still thin like his mother's and his hair the same length, color, and style as hers. But there was also something even more different about his face. It had become smoother looking and he ran his hand across one of his cheeks and noticed that it was indeed smoother as well as softer.
Upon closer inspection he also noticed that his face was beginning to show signs of aging as he found a few wrinkles under his eyes. He also noticed that his eyes were wider and the same color as his mom's as well as his lips being poutier and the same shape as her's. In fact he was actually staring at his mom's face in the mirror.
"Oh no." he muttered under his breath.
"Something the matter sweetie?" Sherry asked while keeping her eyes on the road.
Her question snapped Jon back to reality. "Oh...uh...nothing mom. Everything's fine." he lied as he turned to face out the passenger window. He didn't want to frighten her while she was trying to drive to show that his face was now exactly like hers.
Suddenly they had reached the mall and Sherry began searching for parking spot and found one that she felt was decent enough to where they wouldn't have to walk much.
"Ready to get out Jon?" she asked.
"Sure I guess." he replied as he opened the car door and stepped out. As he did so he realized that he left his wallet in the car and reached in to grab it only to find that it was slightly larger and zipped up now instead of folded.
"How much farther are these changes going to go?" he asked aloud.
He then felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around to face his mom who's eyes were almost bulging out of her head as she saw her son's new face for the first time.
"Your face looks just like mine now." she said in depressed tone.
Jon just looked down. "Yea it happened in the car. I didn't want to show you while you were driving just in case it might have distracted you from the road." he replied.
"Let's not stay too long in here and just go for a walk and see what we can find." Sherry said as the two headed into the mall and began to walk around with no one else batting an eyelash at the fact that even though Jon had the head of his mother his body was still mostly male.
