So the jumbled, addled girl in overall shorts and a Rolling Stones T-shirt ran to the blonde girl, and followed her into the backstage dressing room.
"We have drama now, quick, put these on." Karyn handed some clothes to Athena. She moved so quickly, the younger girl could barely process anything. Mindlessly, she removed her overall shorts, her T-shirt, and held out the garments that had been offered to her: a gigantic, poofy, aristocratic-looking dress, complete with petticoats and corset.
What are these? Athena thought to herself.
"Put them on, quick, rehearsal is going to start," Karyn urged. Athena found herself mindlessly following Karyn's urgings, donning the outfit piece by piece, then stumbling out to backstage, and then onto the stage itself.
Athena had no recollection of being in a play before, or of rehearsals. She didn't even know what play the school was putting on this semester.
She figured it out fairly quickly, however, as she saw a stage full of teenagers in colonial-looking garb, singing about revolution. Athena was now in a high school production of the musical, Hamilton. But what role was she playing? And how would she even know her lines?
