The doorbell rang, which was odd. People didn't just come calling unannounced, there would be a text or something to let you know they were coming by, if you wanted them there anyway. That meant that a doorbell ring was never a welcome sound, because it meant unwelcome people.

She held the hung up phone in her hand. There was a part of Linda that just wanted to listen to Susan rattle on about the old days, about things Linda didn't actually remember, even though the feelings she got from the stories felt like unearned memory, the more she heard the more she felt at home in her new, some would say improved, skin, but there was more of her that was scared and confused as to what that meant.

She moved towards the window near the door from which she could see a blonde girl with large breasts and a green sweater waiting at the door. She was beautiful in a completely unrefined way, like a summer sunset on a cloudless day. She looked in some ways like what Jon had become, a sort of Sarah knock off. She wondered if that was normal or not, other blonde girls coming to hang out, and she figured it might be.

It was only when she opened the door and got a good look at the girls face that she recognized her.

"Karyn Black?" Linda exclaimed in wonder, the Karyn she remember was flatter and had red hair, northing like this girl had...was this another change to the world?

"Is Jen home?" Asked the strange new Karyn.

Linda looked at her sideways "Yes, she's upstairs." Karyn came in, Linda not taking her eyes off her. "Did you do something different with your hair? I thought you were a red head?"

Karyn bristled at this, but sarcastically responded "Yeah, all this time over here is starting to rub off on me, before you know it I'll be joining the squad with Jen and Sarah." She tugged at her sweater as evidence that was never going to happen.

Jen made an appearance in the hall, overhearing Karyn's voice. Seeing her daughter again still shocked Linda, it was like seeing a younger version of herself. "Karyn! Glad you could make it...come up here...Bye mother!" Jen said, which was code for go away now please!

It was clear they had something they needed to talk about, something pressing and private. Something was up, and with all the strangeness going on lately. Linda decided to listen in.
