Still not thinking clearly, holding tightly to his lucky stone, Robin whispered, "I wish that none of the medical people find out that I am a boy and not a girl."
Moments later Robin was in the back of an ambulance with an oxygen mask covering his face. "Breath deeply." A male paramedic said.
As he started to do so, he heard the same paramedic say, "Good."
"We have got to get you something to replace your sweat shirt." A female paramedic said. "I think I have a shirt in my bag that might fit you."
Moments later she helped Robin into a brightly colored T-shirt. Robin didn't see the description that said, 'Foxy Chick'. Robin put his lucky rock back in his pocket before putting on the top.
"What is your name, Honey?" The female paramedic asked.
"Robin. Robin Ashley Thomas." Robin said as he took deep breaths of the oxygen.
"Well Robin, it looks like you will have a free ride to the hospital. I don't think that there is anything really wrong, but with all the smoke you sucked in, I'd rather be sure. I'll have the school call your parents to let them know what is up."
While Robin sat in the back of the ambulance waiting to be transported to the hospital, he heard a couple of fire fighters talking about the fire. "It looks like it started in the boy's locker room. It spread to the South end of the gym and burnt a couple of class rooms. I doubt that they will get the smoke out of the building in a week. But I am not sure how bad structural damage is. I'd guess that it is pretty major."
Robin was a bit worried. Miss Goodbody's drama class room was right next to the south end of the gym.
His first concern was for Miss Goodbody's safety. He then thought of the glue remover. "I hope the glue remover wasn't damaged."
