The unchosen life

Nick made himself comfortable in the apartment and began searching the internet for any information on a Medallion that could change people this way.
He heard the door open but thought nothing of it until...
"Bitch get out here. I know you're in here!" came a booming voice from the living area.
Nick walked out confused.
"Excuse me?" Nick questioned.
"I've been looking everywhere for you bitch! You don't walk out on me." said the large tattooed man standing there.
"I don't know what you're..."
The large man punched her in the face and she lost conciousness. He picked her up and carried her out shutting the door behind her.
Moments later Ross walked in with the real Katie.
"I told you I could get you out, and though I hate to do it we have to get you a new face." He said caressing her cheek. He pulled out a ziplock bag with the coin and instructions in it.
"With this we can start a new life. All it cost me was my best friend."
