As Steven pondered what he could possibly say or do in this bizarre situation, White Diamond would give a theatrical wave of her hand, and the eerie White Pearl would phase through the wall, something round in hand. In fact, it almost looked like...
"Pearl!?" Steven cried out, recognizing the shape of the gem as being a pretty solid match to that of Pearl. White Diamond would chuckle, as if some funny joke had been told. "I knew you'd love it, Stalight! Of course, it's a few steps down from a Diamond, but goodness, you've fallen so far already, it's the least I can do to bring you back up."
"What did-" But before Steven could get a word in edgewise, he'd be cut off again. "No, you don't need to thank me. These really are easy to produce. It's not even a real Pearl, you know. That's where you come in, Starlight. Oh, I won't bore you with the explanation, I know how hyperactive you are. Let's just get this in you, shall we? Pearl, if you would."
With a bow of the head, White Pearl would turn on Steven, gemstone in one hand, and proceed to place the other on Steven's shoulder before he could react. In a moment, he found himself paralyzed- and what's more, her hand seemed to be phasing through his body now, which seemed to be producing the effect.
Now unable to resist, Steven could only watch in horrified anticipation as White Diamond's Pearl seemed to be moving to place the gemstone... Somewhere. But where?
