Jarek stared at Pearl and stroked his beard. "You are indeed an intelligent beast. I almost believe you can understand me."
Pearl nodded her huge head vigorously, trumpeting. The leathery ears slapped against her face.
"What sorcery is this?" cried Jarek. "You understand man's tongue?"
Pearl nodded. Jarek paused. "Pearl, if you understand me, blink your eyes twice and only twice."
The elephant fluttered her long lashes. "By the Prophet's Blood! What a wonder! Pearl, lift me in the air."
Pearl advanced and gently lifted Jarek in the air with her trunk. His silk garb felt smooth against her crinkley trunk. Without the wish binding her from harming people, Pearl could have crushed him. The strength in her new body was a rush. Still, she longed to be a man again.
Jarek was ecstatic. "The sultan will reward me for finding such a creature!" Pearl bleated and put him down. The former Jon grabbed a stick with her proboscis and began dragging it through the dirt while Jarek watched. "This is difficult, but not much worse than writing left-handed," she thought, and wrote "Help me" in clumsy block letters.
"Jasmine hadn't counted on my ability to write, maybe she's illiterate herself. Good thing the stablemaster isn't." thought Pearl. "And no language was specified in the fantasy wish everyone speaks English. I might get out of this yet."
"This is no mere animal!" Jarek was thunderstruck. "What kind of elephant can write?"
Pearl scraped, "Me" in the dirt. Then "I was a man." "Jasmine did this." "Magic stone." "Grants wishes."
Meanwhile, Rex had finished his meal. The bull elephant began caressing Pearl, huffing. His amorous intentions were clear. Jarek was deep in thought. "A magic stone! I must think on this. If this is possible, were I to get my hands on it, I could be rival to the Sultan what I could accomplish!" Pearl bleated her trepidation as Rex pressed his formidable weight against her. " And help this poor creature, of course."
Jarek recalled the wish he had heard, remembering the object in Jasmine's hand. Rex would be taking his new mate many times before she conceived and bore him a calf. An unenviable fate. Still, there was no arguing with a bull in musth. More talk must wait for tomorrow. "He is acting out Lady Jasmine's wish." Jarek shouted.
Pearl trumpeted. What wish now? Her knees felt weak. Rex thrust his bulk onto her again.
"I must think on this tonight. By morning, Rex should be exhausted. I will come to you then." Jarek smiled. "And perhaps you will learn to enjoy it."
As Rex's giant member slid into her, Pearl thought, "I should have crushed you
