"Is it you, Jon?" said Jon's mother.
"Yeah, Mom, it's me! That stone's mine! Grandpa left it to me for real. You do realize what you did, right?"
"I do now... I wished you could be more like Karyn. Now you're her twin sister Joanne and I'm like this.... I know you can't reverse wishes, but there has to be a way to fix it!"
Joanne thought. "I think I can... look, Mom, you didn't say anything about wishing to be in a 7-11, right?"
"No..."
"Well, you can't reverse wishes, but you didn't really wish to be in a 7-11. What exactly did you say?"
"I wished you'd be more like Karyn."
"Well... how about this. Just wish to be back in the same house... here, let me take the stone."
Jon's mother looked around herself. "That may be for the best... I can't use it right--look what I did with just one wish!"
Joanne took the stone from her and said, "I wish that Mom has her house, job, and most of her history back from before she made that wish."
Things changed. They were back in the house. It looked almost the same as before... except that a few pictures were missing from the walls. The ones with Jon in them. Joanne walked into her old Jon's room to find it empty.
"I don't know about the rest," said Joanne. "I helped you a little bit, Mom. I have to go... I'll see what I can think of tomorrow, okay? I don't want to lose you, Mom."
"I don't want to lose you either!"
Joanne did go home--or rather, to Karyn's home, which she knew the location of since she had been there so many times for "real". Karyn gave her 'sister' a hug and Joanne felt tempted to tell her everything. But what could Joanne say, and how could she act, until she could think of a way to be Jon again?
