Jon's mom looked around her in confusion and shock. Seconds before she had been standing in Jon's bedroom and now she found herself standing behind the counter of a 7-11 dressed in the uniform of a late night convenience store worker.
In her hand still was the stone.
"What in the..." she exclaimed. This was too weird. "I wish I knew what the hell was going on!"
And all of a sudden she did. She knew that the stone was magic, that her last wish had made her life a very different one from the one she had been used to. All because she had never been married in this life and hence her only son was now the twin sister of his best friend and she lead a lowly life working in the 7-11.
She took it all in with shock. It was rather overwhelming: not only the reality of what had happened but the sudden appearance of all this information in her head was extremely unnerving.
At that moment, a girl who looked very much like Karyn walked into the store and stared at her.
"Mom...?"
This was going to take some explaining!
