Immediately, Karyn noticed something was different. "Jon, what happened?"
Jon looked at her, puzzled. "What do you mean?
Karyn dug into her purse and pulled out her compact. "Look!"
Jon did as she asked. "Oh no, someone's got the rock!" Jon started to panic. "We've got to do something!"
Karyn put her hand on his shoulder. "Calm down, Jon. It's just your eyes and hair, nothing major. You can dye your hair back and wear contacts if you need to." Realizing this, Jon felt a little better. "Now, we've got to get the rock. Where was it last?"
"I left it hidden at home, there's no way anyone could have . . ." Jon slapped his hand against his face. "Mom. She must have found it. Come on, we've got to get over there, fast."
Karyn nodded. After throwing his purchases in the backseat of Karyn's car, they rushed back home to Jon's house. As soon as they got there . . .
