"Nobody?" said Karyn. "It's clothes. It's not a wish."
"You made it work that way with a wish," insisted Jon. "And I'm surprised the wish interpreted it to mean all clothes."
"But you're still Jon. The wishes change history, but if you use the wish to make something, what you make doesn't change history. There is no father...." Karyn held up the pictures. They still showed Jon as a little girl, who looked a bit like Karyn. "See? It didn't change any history, you're just suddenly like this for no reason."
"Give me that stone," said Jon. She reached for the stone but shivered in fright and couldn't even touch it.
"You still can't take it and you still have to obey me," said Karyn. "Hmm. What do we do? Give you more clothes and change you again? It might hurt the baby..."
