Every outfit choice came with some level of danger, but whatever consequences she had to bear, they had to come with maintaining, or ideally decreasing slightly, her age.
So what was the youngest-looking outfit in Athena's closet right at that moment? Athena eventually decided upon a pair of denim overall shorts that didn't look like they had changed yet. Athena hadn't worn them in a while, but they still fit. It was a style she wore a lot in middle school, and that's the immediate image that came to her mind when she saw the overalls. Hopefully she wouldn't lose years too quickly throughout the day, and maybe if she paired them with the right shirt, she could balance things out.
A-hah! Her Rolling Stones T-shirt! She didn't even know who the Stones were until a year ago, and it definitely felt "old person" to her. If she wore that underneath the overalls, it would maybe keep her as close to "normal" as she could manage.
