CJ's day didn't really get any worse.
She did enjoy, no matter how hard she really tried not too, the field trip with the rest of her Girl Scout troop. Alice even acted nicer as the day wore on.
CJ bought herself lunch, a salad and a diet pop.
Try as she would, she could do nothing that wasn't like any other nice ten year old girl. She didn't even hesitate when she, along with several of her friends converged upon the 'girl's room' after lunch. With a sense of normality that she knew she shouldn't have, CJ entered a stall, lifted her skirt, lowered her panties and sat to do her business. She tried hard not to think about what she did afterwards, but soon found herself at the wash basin, washing her hands and then brushing her hair.
While wearing her hair free as she was had proven to more than a bit of a problem, she couldn't bring herself to put her hair into a pony tail, as she thought she looked better like this.
Finally the too long of a day drew to a close and CJ was returned to her home.
After thanking Mrs. Harrell for driving, and saying good-bye to each of the girls in her troop still in the car, CJ all but skipped up the walk and into the house.
"Mommy, I am home." She called out.
"Did you enjoy yourself today?" Her mother asked.
"Much more than I thought I would, Mommy." CJ admitted, "However, I was nervous all day."
"Why Dear?"
"Mo-ther!" CJ exclaimed as if her mother had lost her mind, "Because that you can Karyn wished me to be a Girl Scout. You remember that I am not really a Girl Scout, don't you?"
"Of course I do Dear. I want to thank you for being such a good girl and going along with me today. Now run to your room and change, I laid your clothes out for you."
CJ accepted her mother's instructions and went to her room.
