"Fine, I'll just take something of yours, then!" Athena spun around, crazed, looking for anything she could use to cover herself so she could leave. Karyn had chosen to put her into a bikini, but she could choose whatever item in the closet was most appealing to her, and she landed upon a trench coat. It was, of course, a pink trench coat, with faux-plaid stripes, but it was relatively nondescript.
Athena's eyes seized upon something black, two somethings black that were sitting on the floor, and she instinctively put her feet into them. The patent leather heels were not what Athena would normally wear, but they would have to do for now. So there she was, looking for all the world like a pink Carmen Sandiego, in the middle of the McMillan mansion. Careful not to turn an ankle, she re-traced her steps and made it safely downstairs.
"Hey, come over here!"
Athena turned. Where had that voice come from?
"The lecture's already almost over, you're going to miss the reception!"
Athena spotted a door that was slightly ajar, in the opposite direction from the front door of the house, and a young man in a caterer's uniform sticking his head out.
"I'm not supposed to be in there," Athena hissed.
"I know, but you asked me to sneak you in, and I didn't put my neck on the line for nothing," the young man replied.
"That's not what I--"
"Just get in here!" The young man left the room he was in and physically pulled Athena with him. In her heels, she stumbled along and into the mysterious room to see the end of a mysterious lecture in the middle of the mysterious McMillan mansion.
