"I wish," said Karyn, holding the stone, "that Sarah was never born because she's an android. I wish that she doesn't know this and in fact only me, Jon, and her parents know. I also wish we have full permission to program her any way we want."
Sarah's body shimmered and seemed to change, except it looked the same as before.
"How do we program her?" wondered Jon.
"I don't know," said Karyn. "I wish that me and Jon could program her by saying 'begin program' and 'end program' and any orders given between them would be programs."
The stone flashed. A second later Karyn put down the stone and tested it. "End program," she said.
Sarah got up. "That didn't work!" she said. "You have to have the stone to do that. You can't drop it!"
Apparently the last thing Sarah remembered was Karyn's wish that she never was born... only since the stone wasn't in Karyn's hands after she woke up, Sarah believed that Karyn had simply dropped it.
"Begin program," said Jon.
Sarah stopped moving and stayed standing, staring into space.
It was easy, of course, to program her to be nice, but Jon thought it would be a little bit too strange. He decided to start small; after all, Sarah could no longer really cause trouble. "Sarah, here's your orders...."
