"Then we'll have to make this new life more like your old one." Athena looked around the room for anything that could immediately be changed, and landed upon Karyn, herself. "Your clothes."
"What?" Karyn didn't understand.
"As long as you're wearing Sarah's clothes, it's a constant reminder of who Miss Fine wants you to be. Change your clothes, and it's a reminder that you don't have to be that."
The suggestion bothered Karyn. It made sense, but she felt... resistant to it. She looked down at what she was wearing, and she felt natural dressed like this.
"I think," Karyn hesitated before continuing, "I think that Miss Fine may have been right about one thing."
"What's that?"
"Somewhere in my subconscious, I think I really did always want to dress like this, to live like this. I-- a part of me doesn't want to give up this part of my new life."
Athena took in this new information. Whatever she was about to do, she needed to do it quickly and decisively. Karyn needed to be broken out of Sarah's world somehow.
