Left alone, Sarah looked around. This wasn't her house, or Jon's house. She supposed being like Jon didn't mean exactly like Jon. After all, they had different parents. She was an only child, Jon had that freaky sister.
But the room was so small. There wasn't even a TV in it. She started into the hallway and made her way down the stairs. "Seth, can you set the table?" Her mother said, hurrying up to her.
So her name was Seth. And her mother looked...old and frumpy. Sarah was used to a glamorous woman who kept herself in perfect shape and looked years younger to the point even Sarah didn't know her mom's actual age. And she was hardly the glamorous model she remembered from that morning. She looked like she'd bought her entire outfit at the local Walmart and...part of Sarah was horrified by the change, but another part seemed to find the new Susan comforting and maternal looking.
"Okay...Mom," she said.
"And get your sister? She's in the living room."
