Jon was fuming mad at Karyn for his first two periods. How could she say those things about Sarah. It was true that the two of them used to talk down about Sarah all the time, but that had all changed... hadn't it? He did used to talk to Karyn about these things didn't he. He couldn't remember very clearly many of his conversations with Karyn. By the end of the third period and the start of lunch he was fairly certain that he was going to be sitting with Sarah, at least to show Karyn that she wasn't his only female friend.
He walked into the cafeteria and walked right pass Karyn towards the popular table. Karyn watched Jon as he walked towards the table of pure evil. He was clearly embracing Sarah's personality, she could hardly stand to watch as he walked into the belly of the beast.
Sarah stood up and waved at Jon. "So glad you decided to join us, Karyn's company is really unbecoming of someone like us."
Jon thought hard, did he really want to be socializing with this crowd. Hadn't he hated these people only a couple of days ago? Then he looked at all the fancy clothes his peers had on and knew that this was exactly where he should be. "Yeah your right, I could learn so much from you." Jon looked up and down Sarah, they each had the same makeup, pants and shoes on. If Sarah and himself dressed so similarly without even coordinating, clearly they were very like-minded.
The lunch continued on and Jon was really getting into the various topics. Whenever Sarah brought something up, Jon felt like he was remembering that same thing. In fact, he was, Sarah and himself had been spending a lot of time together over the last few weeks, going shopping together, reading the same magazines. He was really liking how much he was sharing in common with Sarah lately.
"Ugh look at that mess, she really needs to fix herself, shes disgusting." Sarah said with venom as she pointed at Karyn. The other girls began to laugh at Karyn, but Jon felt really odd about this. "What do you think Jonrah, isn't she so disgusting." Sarah said to Jon, clearly looking to see if he had gained enough of her personality to accept the change in outlook on his friend and the slight change in name.
"Yeah... I guess she could take more care of herself." Jonrah said, and as he did he felt himself grow much more sure of what he was saying. "Your right, she is totes disgusting, I don't know why I ever hung out with her." Jonrah began to believe what he was saying more and more.
"Ew, you used to hang out with Icky-Karyn." One of the girls chimed in. This gave Jonrah pause, had he been hanging out with her? They weren't part of the same click, and he didn't really like her.
Jonrah struggled for a moment. "...No... I never hung out with her. I don't know why I thought I did." Jonrah knew that this was true.
Sarah loved how much like her Jon had become, she would be getting a new best friend and destroy her arch nemesis at the same time. He was now a tad over half way transformed, his legs and arms were perfect copies of hers. And clearly her personality had gained control during this lunch period. As the bell rung and everyone said goodbye Sarah couldn't wait until tomorrow to see how much further Jon was.
