Jon left his house to see Karyn waiting in her normal spot. She stood there frozen in surprise for a moment before sh could regain her composure. Karyn knew she needed to be as friendly as possible with Jon if she was going to get him back. "How did your talk with Sarah go, did you get the stone back?"
"It went really well." Jon paused for a moment should he tell Karyn he got the stone back. He trusted her didn't he? "She said... She would give it back tomorrow, she wanted to use it one more time. But she promised not to use it on us." Something felt wrong, it was far to easy to lie to Karyn, Jon felt very manipulative.
Karyn knew Sarah wouldn't give the stone back. "Ugh, that bitch, shes probably planning something!'
"HEY! Don't call her that, Sarah is totes awesome. Sometimes I wish you were more like her." Jon was surprised at himself, and equally glad he didn't have the stone on his person. "You know what, I think we should walk to school separately."
Jon walked away from a startled Karyn, this was her worst fear, she was losing him.
