Jon got out of school as fast as he could when the bell rang. He was nearly in tears, he knew that this had been the last straw. During lunch, Karyn had decided to sit next to him. She seemed to be acting almost... normal. She was being nice, friendly, even though she still talked with Sarah's inflection. It gave Jon hope. Maybe things would return to normal.
Then she put a hand on his thigh. What was she doing? If Jon hadn't been so disarmed by Karyn actually treating him like a human being again, he might've resisted. Instead, he focused on the swelling in his pants. Then she moved closer, and whispered into his ear in the sexiest voice he'd ever heard "I want you, Jon. I've always wanted you." Jon felt like his member was about to explode out of his jeans, he could hardly contain himself. He was about to embrace Karyn, she looked so sincere... when suddenly the bell rang. Lunch period was ending. Karyn jumped up from the table like nothing at all had happened and proudly walked over to Rob and her "new" friends.
As the rest of the students minced off to class, Jon realized he was stranded. No way he could stand up now, he'd have to... wait it out. Karyn, Rob, and a few other guys and girls looked at Jon and burst out into hearty laughter at the humiliation of their former friend. Jon just put his head in his hands, wishing he could just disappear.
Wishing. Jon almost laughed at that idea as he walked home. If only he had the stone. But, thanks to Sarah's last wish he had no desire for it. Sure, he wanted this wish to end, but every time he thought of getting the stone back, he always thought of more important things to be doing, like homework, computer games, TV.
Jon walked in the front door to find his dad and sister on the couch, looking at fashion magazines.
"OMG, I love that dress," his dad said about one of the models, "Too bad I'd never squeeze my fat ass into it."
"Chyeah, right. You're way skinnier than I am. You could be a model."
Jon's dad blushed, then smiled, "I know. It's just... the way that guy looked at me today I felt so... ugly."
They both looked up at Jon, and his sister sneered, "You want ugly, how about a boy who never showers." They both laughed at Jon's expense.
"Maybe because I never have time. You guys are always hogging the bathroom, and when you're done I have to choke through a cloud of perfume and hairspray."
"Whatev," Jeff Madison said, "You think I wake up looking like this?" He crossed his legs and fluffed his short hair. "Besides, you're a boy. It shouldn't take you any time to get ready."
"And you're not a guy?" Jon asked, confused.
"You think a guy could pull off an outfit like this? What planet are you from?" They both laughed again and Jon went to his room. So they really think they're girls now? Jon thought, How does that work? He laid on his bed, wondering if there was any way to reverse this... without the stone.
