Jon's father, Jeff Madison, could hardly contain his excitement for the day. It was the final meeting for the Davison account, and if everything went according to plan, he'd be getting that bonus he had hoped for. And that meant he'd finally be able to get those Christian Louboutin pumps he'd had his eyes on.

Jeff bobbed his head happily as he and the rest of the carpool sang along with the music of Beyonce that was blasting from the radio. He grabbed a compact from his purse and started checking his makeup for about the fifth time on the way to work. "Geez, Jeff," said Dan Matthews, driver of the carpool, "Quit looking so nervous, it'll give you wrinkles." The rest of the car giggled as Jeff put the compact back. He looked himself over, then at the other three men in the car, happy he'd picked out such a fashionable outfit. If only his son had half the fashion sense of everybody else, maybe he wouldn't be such a dweeb.

As the car pulled into the parking lot the four businessmen climbed out, not the least bit concerned that their attire was nowhere near businesslike. But, of course, that was how everybody at McMillan & Associates was dressing these days.

Jeff's confidence rose as he walked through the office building, receiving compliments on his shoes, his makeup, his stockings, his skin tone. He was happy he'd skipped lunch yesterday to go tanning. As he got to his section of the office he was greeted by his secretary, Carol.

"Mr. Davison is ready for you," she said, "he's in the conference room."

"Great," said Jeff, "How do I look?"

"Fabulous, as always." Jeff smiled at the compliment, then blew a kiss to Carol as he walked off to the conference room.

Jeff nearly lost his composure when he saw the man who was waiting for him in the conference room. It was Eric Davison, a young executive with a chiseled jaw and a well tailored, expensive suit. What a stud! Jeff thought.

Eric could only stare at the ridiculous sight before him. The forty year old man who was dressed like an 18 year old girl was also staring. And blushing. Jeff finally composed himself and walked over to where the man was sitting, extending a manicured hand. "Mr. Davison, I'm Jeff Madison. Pleased to meet you." The two shook hands, and Jeff took a seat next to the handsome man, crossing his legs at the knee.

"What's going on here?" Eric asked.

"What do you mean?" Jeff said as he pulled a purple binder from his purse.

"Ever since I got into town, things have been very strange. What the hell are you wearing."

Jeff looked down at himself, wondering what was wrong. "Don't you like it?" he asked.

"Like it?" Eric said. "Look, if this is your company's idea of a joke, then I'm sorry I wasted my time coming here today." He stood up and made his way out of the conference room.

"Wait," Jeff said, following close behind, "Don't you want to see my proposal? It shows that if you set aside time in the day for facials and pedicures, you can increase productivity by up to 18%!" Eric kept walking, getting lustful looks and winks from everyone he passed on his way out.

"Mr. Davison, come back!" Jeff called, with a hint of whine in his voice. He huffed and stomped his foot, crossing his arms as he watched Eric board the elevator.

"What happened?" Carol asked.

"I don't know. He wouldn't even let me show him the proposal."

"Well I'd like to show him my proposal, if you know what I mean."

"Nah, I think he's gay. He kept looking at me weird, like he was grossed out or something."

"Why are the cute ones always gay?" Carol wondered. The conversation quickly devolved into celebrity gossip and shopping, and a few others from the office joined in. Still, Jeff was pissed that he wouldn't be getting the bonus. He was sure that nobody could be having a worse day than he was.
