If this was what they wanted, it was fine. We could coast along. They had nothing for us going into Solstice. Headshot Haven was coming up and they wanted to pave the way for people in the company to show they had what it took to represent the big brand against Rage on Friday Nights. Obviously, none of the jobbers were going to be showcased. They did not want us to be there. If a single one of us were part of the team at the pay-per-view, everyone would root for us to lose. The general manager of our show, Battlefield, certainly did not want that. It was his job to put together a team that could win. Most of us could win a match or 2, but the real show was the very last match. That was the only match that mattered. The main event of the evening was a 6 on 6 elimination tag team match. You got to have a ton of bragging rights. For the rest of the year, you got to be that guy. If you were part of a stable, you got to get that criterion for all your fellow members. If not, you still got to be part of your own brand's faction. You still got the the criterion, but it did not spread as far. It was a snub.

My opinion did not matter. We were the ones that just had to wait. Eric, Leo and Xavier did not care either way. They had no plans of ever being chosen. Before they got linked up with us, the definitely were not going to be. They were not jobbers. That did not meant that they were hot commodities. Nobody thought all that highly of them, if they thought of them at all. It was only now that they had a chance to be seen as good candidates. However, we were too evil for anyone to stomach relying on us. If we were picked, that would mean that we were endorsed by the management of the brand we were on. Child Labor members were too dirty. We were tainted goods. There is nothing that we could do about it. Or, maybe there was. It was something that I would not really care about. I had my vacation back in catering. The rest of us were all having a decent time. When it was time for Solstice, all 6 of us had to work together to defend our titles. Management would greatly rather us not being champions going into Headshot Haven. I did not want to drop a single belt. Battlefield would be in a bind.

Not having 4 championships represented twice in a row would be tough. Battlefield did not do so well against Rage last time. Rage had not won handily in the main event of the pay-per-view, but it was 3 to 1. It made sense with us being so reviled we were last year. With us hoarding gold, there were many mid carders that were good with nothing to do. The world title was free. So were the women's tag titles. Those 3 champions were de facto leaders in the locker room. The 6 on 6 tag team main event was only for men. That did not mean our women's tag champs were not kicking Rage's ass in the women's division. Our world champion was the last man standing in the main event. The world title division was also involved. They simply did not have the sauce to give Battlefield the edge. Us at the pay-per-view would help turn the tides. It was just a bad PR move. Our reputation was improving slowly as we went along. Kodie was the only jobber. Xavier, Eric and Leo were regular wrestlers. They did not need as much of a hands-on approach. They also did much more than the jobber move.
