Everyone had eyes on us in the EWL Tag Team Championship match. All 6 of us went down to the ring together. They were booing us. Child Labor might have had our reputation raised a bit from the Ball Boys not needing such a heavy hand in their winning matches, but were like the devil of EWL. I, myself, was a kayfabe demon. It was kind of on brand for us to be evil. The Ball Boys easily became heels. All the power and the fame was too much to say no to. They instantly fell to our "corruption". Kodie was a jobber. Until he really got a moment to personally screw someone over, he would not have the momentum or fan investment for him to turn heel for real. The 5 brothers all came down to the ring. The 2 that were the champions led the pack. They were here to keep us from doing anything to cheat their family out of the titles. That was cute. It was not going to work though. It was a bog standard tag team match. They would need to tag in and out. Eric and Leo were not the favored to win, but they were holding their own without much helping. It was a decent 8 minute back and forth.
Frankie, the third oldest Boom Boom Brother, hit his finisher on Eric in the dead center of the ring. Suzie had undid the cushion of the top turnbuckle in a neutral corner. It was a tactic in order to get the ref to be too busy to count a pin. This gambit worked perfectly. Frankie had pinned Eric for over 10 seconds before the ref turned around and saw it. When the ref finally got down to count, it was only a 2 count. The Boom Boom Brothers were pissed. We screwed them out of a well earned win. I did not care about that. I wanted to win. When Frankie tried to toss Eric into his corner, Eric was able to reverse and do a suplex. Both of them were winded. Eric made his way over to his brother and tagged out. Frankie did the same thing. Greg was now the other legal man. They tussled for a bit. When Greg had Leo in an unescapable submission, I got on the apron and called out the ref. He was now caught in my ploy. Leo ended up tapping out. It did not count as the ref did not see it. Greg had let him go as it was the sportsmanlike thing to do. He had thought he won. Leo rolled out the ring in pain.
Greg had to follow him out and get him back into the ring. Leo was weakened and it would be easy to finish him off. When he exited the ring to end this match, he saw that Xavier and Suzie were standing between them. The referee began to count. If he got all the way to 10, it was all over. The Boom Boom Brothers had the champion's advantage here. They would lose the match if they were counted out. That did not mean they would lose their titles. It was not possible for a title to change hands via count out unless the title was vacant. Both Leo and Greg needed to get into the ring if we actually wanted to win this thing. While Suzie and Xavier were blocking Gregg from getting to Leo, Kodie and I helped him up to his feet. He had orange leg health from that submission. It was not looking good. We got him in the ring and Eric tagged himself in. It was clear that things were winding down for us though. After another 4 minutes of back and forth, it was going to be the end. Frankie tried to do his signature move on Leo. It was a superkick. Leo was able to dodge. Frankie knocked out the ref.
He was out cold. This was our time. I stormed the ring and attacked Frankie. That got everyone on their side involved. The only one that was calm was Kodie. We got the best of them in the exchange. Child Labor managed to clear the ring just in time for the ref to see Leo doing his finisher on Frankie. It was a cool move that started in the powerbomb position. Once the guy was lifted up over Leo's shoulders, Leo dropped Frankie on his own knees. It looked devastating. The referee got into position and counted the big pin. Child Labor had recaptured both of the titles we lost in the span of a single week. The crowd was furious. We had rose ourselves back to our former dominance. It was meant to be. Once we were backstage, I let Kodie pin me to become OPW 24/7 Champion. Every single member of the stable was a champion. That got everyone to get the All the Gold criterion. That made the 3 Ball Boys and Kodie halfway to Hall of Fame status. The celebration we had was amazing. We were all booed. Suzie and I defended too. We basked in it for a little bit. We were on top now.
