Finally, he was a champion. It also unlocked a new criterion. It was in the new Faction category. "All the Gold" was given to a stable when all members of the stable were champions. This was much easier to accomplish when a stable was 3 people. At that point, it was just tag titles and a singles title. Robbie was Intercontinental Champion first. Suzie was Women's Champion. Will and Jamal were tag champs. I was Hardcore Champion. Alex Boycott was the new 24/7 Champion. Looking things over, we were in the running for our stable to be Hall of Fame worthy. We just needed a bit more to get there. One of the criteria was for all of the members to be Legends. Alex was the one dragging behind. Optimum Drive was the biggest pay-per-view of the year for OPW. For EWL, it was Immortality. Battlefield had the main event and 5 other slots. That meant every title was on the line. Before we got there, there was a final pay-per-view that would set the stage. Winter Whiteout had 4 big Elimination Chamber matches. 2 were for the world titles. The other 2 were for the female titles. Suzie was up.
It was also the case that Robbie was going to be defending the title. Out of the 5 slots that they had, 2 needed to go towards the chamber matches. Robbie defending the so-called tarnished Intercontinental Championship was something they wanted to showcase. Apparently, it was going to be a mystery opponent. I could already tell that they were going to screw him over. The GM was not going to let Child Labor walk into Immortality with gold. If by some miracle, we did make it there as champions, he would do anything to strip the titles off of us. He made it clear the tag titles and the Hardcore title were also up for grabs. This was so personal. All of us were in danger. I was pretty nervous about it. There was not much we could do though. All we could do was brace ourselves for impact. When we got to the go home show, our opponents were revealed. I was facing a group of sextuplets. It was a gauntlet match. To win, I had to get through all of them. Robbie was going up against 2 tough opponents. Will and Jamal had 5 brothers that wanted to take them on. It was ridiculous. It was rigged.
Getting screwed was inevitable in this business. It was going to happen to everybody at some point. That did not mean it was a good feeling. These were odds no man should be forced to face. Suzie had her own defense in the second Elimination Chamber match. Rage was hosting the first at the start of the show. The men would fight with the EWL World Championship on the line. The Battlefield men were up last to close out the pay-per-view. People were praying for our downfall online in the game. It was almost funny. As heels we could only be proud that the hate was this strong. They wanted to see a total blowout. If even one of us retained, we would call it a major victory over the GM. My bare bones contract did not come with a rematch clause. If I lost my title, I would be back of the line and would need to earn another shot at it. It was unlike the general manager would want to grant us many favors. The same was true for Suzie and all the jobbers. I had my contract for 2 more years. Suzie did as well. I had no clue how long all of the jobbers of the stable had left in their own contracts.
