They said a jobber team was not on their level. It was obviously true. We did not accept that though. Why would we? After some major taunting and cajoling, we finally got them to agree to take us seriously. We first had to take on The Messengers. They also happened to be a heel tag team that loved to fight dirty. If we could beat them, we would face the champs in a non-title match. It was a great opportunity for us. If we won that match, we would get them in a rematch with the titles on the line. It was as good a deal we were likely to get. Losing was not an option. I was going to help Jamal and Will get their first title. So were Robbie and Suzie. Alex had a match of his own. It was a tables match. Robbie, Suzie and I also managed him from ringside. The Messengers were in deed great fighters. They did not shy away from cheating. All of us at ringside did our best to help out our friends. We were heels. Jamal, Will and Alex were still unaligned. One of The Messengers made use of an accidental ref bump to get a steel chair. I got in the ring and stole it. Then, I broke it over his head.

It was Will that got the pin when the ref came to. Our boys were closer to the tag titles than ever. In Alex's match, we all just beat down his opponent 4 on 1 and put them through the table. The next week saw me in 1 on 1 action against a mid carder. I did not need my posse with me. I used every dirty trick in the book to obliterate him. The same was true with Suzie. She went out alone and beat her opponent in 3 minutes. She even put the title on the line for good measure. Jamal and Will did not get their tag match booked until the next week. Suzie and I worked overtime to keep the boys standing during the fight. The champions were just that good. They were not good enough to overcome us though. We got them pinned. Due to the bargain, we got Jamal and Will a title shot at the upcoming pay-per-view. The Battlefield before saw big a mix up. Will and Jamal would take on the champions in singles competition. Jamal was taking on Luke Rasdac. Will had to fight John Ender. Suzie, Alex and I were going to manage them. Mark Tremor demanded a match from Robbie. It was a grudge.

Mark made it so he would get another championship opportunity if he won the match. It was to be a 1 on 1 fight. Nobody could help out at ringside. Robbie agreed to it. It might work out. He wanted to prove that he was good on his own. I did it. Suzie did it. Robbie was our friend and was now on a decent winning streak. 8-19 was not a very good record, but he had managed to win the last 8 matches in a row. With all of the pressure on, he went out there and fought. Mark had absolutely nothing but the basic Irish Whip combos. Robbie was a heel. This gave him access to all the heel moves on top of his jobber ones. This meant the eye rake, eye poke, using the rope for leverage in pins, grapples and submissions. He also took cheap shots when the ref broke them up on the ropes or in the corner. On their own, it was not too much. For a jobber like Robbie, it was a major upgrade. Against another jobber like Mark, these were devastating. Robbie beat Mark after 5 and a half minutes. No one wanted to deal with Robbie, so Mark got his title match anyway. Suzie was defending her title.
