Sarah watched as her plan backfired on her. At first she smiled at her victory, let him try to overcome it, but after the 6th wish, which was to for her to become the best cheerleader in the school, she began to see the hole in her logic. She was fine with a wish for perfect hair, perfect skin, great cloths, a car...whatever she already had that, but when she started to but in on her turf...that's not cool. Then came the 7th wish, "to have the perfect boyfriend", what did that mean? did she lose biff? and the 8th wish which was simply "to be popular and loved by all the guys" and then finally the 9th wish "i wish all the girls wanted to be more like me."
"OK That's enough!" Sarah stepped in, as a whirl of changes were overtaking Paige, She looked amazing, and Sarah had to push back a little envy at the changes she saw in her little sister.
Sarah reached for the stone.
"Oh no, you don't! Not after everything!"
They both grabbed the stone at the same time and said "I wish i was better than you."
The rock got red hot, and they dropped it. Too many wishes too soon, and that last one, which meant something strange was going to happen.
An hour later the rock was still hot. So they grabbed an oven mitt and put it in a box. Maybe over time it would cool down.
