Jumping back into our in-ring careers was simple. The 3 members of Incubi were in a 6 man tag match against 3 members of Pet Control. Owen was managing us. We beat them soundly. Byron was given an opportunity to get a title shot at the pay-per-view. Since the tag titles had not been defended in a while, they decided to just throw an impromptu fatal 4 way tag title match on the card. It was hastily thrown together, so there was no build up. There did not have to be a big story reason if it was a great match though. Byron and Wilder were former champions just like Horse and Raptor were. Pet Control were still champions. The Flames had won the Boom tag titles after we dropped them. They defended them once and cashed them in to move up to Picric. They were the wildcard team. If he was willing to team with Wilder again, he could fight for the title. He at first was hesitant. Wilder was the last person he wanted to team with again. On the other hand, this was a free title shot. You simply did not turn them down as a rookie. He agreed. 3 out of the 5 of us were booked. It was very nice.
Kicking off Evil Intentions was the Women's Championship. Their bout was honestly pretty good. Suzie was the referee for the match. It was a very gritty match with a lot of hard hitting moves. You could tell that they absolutely hated each other. This is exactly what you wanted to see from a grudge match with a title on the line. At the very end of a 24 minute classic, Chelsea Rivers won the big match with a devastating super kick. The crowd went wild and was on their feet. Suzie placed the belt over the exhausted Chelsea and raised her arm. Chelsea could not even stand after the exertion. Suzie helped her up. Chelsea then got to celebrate her win in earnest. Her very tough opponent was helped out of the ring. Things were going well. A couple of grudge matches took place. Nothing was on the line, but they put their all into it. Finally, we got to the tag title match. It was super chaotic. Bodies flew everywhere. At the end of it, Raptor pinned one of the Flames to become tag champion again. Both Wilder and Byron were way too busy at ringside to break up the pin. That was a real shame.
Liam was up next. He went out first. The International Champion was a guy named Keith Ulrich. Once both men were in the ring, the referee lifted the belt up. The ring announcer took it out of the cage with him. Once the cage was secure, it was time to start the match. It went back and forth. Whenever either fighter tried to climb up the cage, the other would drag them down. Things drastically took at turn when Liam hit Keith with the Magic Wand. The man was down. Liam went over to the cage door. It was opened and Liam tried to step out. They always opened it up slowly on purpose in order to build suspense. He got one foot out before he realized that Keith had grabbed him by the ankle. Keith put him in an agonizing ankle lock. It was extremely painful. The leverage on it was insane. Liam tapped out because there was nowhere to go and he did not have enough skill to get out of it. Submission was a valid win condition, so Keith retained the title. That had to hurt. Liam was so close. It really was a shame. Having a singles title on the main roster would have been great for our faction.
