Very human limitations kneecapped them here. Akamaru and the other Slime Lords were simply not beatable. You could not escape them. They could track you with their eyes and ears. They never got tired. You could not scare them off or intimidate them in any way. They could not even be knocked down to the ground for more than a second. Mix that with the fact they were all over 500 pounds, and you could see that even the greatest assassins could not defeat them. I was a harpy too. Even if they somehow got around them, I could just fly away from them. Clearly, I could not do that now. I had too much to lose here in the cabin. Because this was a human only world, only clerics and paladins, which were incredibly rare, could do magic. Even with all of these temples, none of the NPCs even thought about trying to become one. I came from a high fantasy setting world. Not only were there so many other races, they were all used to the everyday use of magic. They simply did not have the concept of it here. This was still FOG. That meant that there could be if they wanted it enough.
With that said, I was confident in my protections. This was a medieval setting. Yokai and demons were a large part of their folk religions in this era. There were also good warrior monks and monastic priests too. I would not put it past the system to let those characters to take the role of paladins and clerics. I also would not put it past them to act in plots against others or me in the future. I had beef with the Assassin's Guild due to a little glitch of the system. I was in a backwater province next to a relatively low level dungeon. Clerics and paladins would not be factions that would want to deal with me. I had done nothing to them. That did not mean I was going to do things to piss off. The last thing I wanted was for them to start sending people over here. I could set up some countermeasures for them too. That would be a worse case scenario for me though. After the assassins died, things went back to normal. We could all take it easy for a bit. Masahiko was dealing with his knot coming in and his first rut. It was pretty draining for an alpha to go through unless with the paired mate. It was bad.
Xylophones were in the recreation room. I got to play with them for a bit. When Masahiko came out of his funk, we were there to welcome him. Moto was the very first to embrace him. He was happy to see that his son had now matured. This was good for our cause. It made him a really strong candidate to succeed Tsukasa as the new lord of the castle. I clapped my hands together and said "Now that you've become an alpha, it is time for you to ascend to the plane of being a sigma. We don't need to rush this stage. We bought ourselves some time since we killed those assassins. Who is willing to be mounted again!? It might be a bit more intense now that he is a real alpha now." Nekoya shook his head. "Master Masahiko was not that impressive. I think I will refrain." he said. Nekotama and Nekotaro stepped up right away. It seemed that they might be a bit closer than friends and brothers in arms. That was for them to figure out. I was not going to interfere in a relationship. Koneko also wanted to go in again. That was fine with me. Those 3 could make Masahiko into a true sigma male.
