Having been practically dragged by Masahiko on the third day, we made it down to the tower. I set up the crystal ball. We were horrified by what we say. Everyone was dead aside from Osamu, Saku and Hayashi. They were fighting. The beta siblings were teaming up on Osamu. I enabled sound so we could hear what was going on. All my fears were coming true. "When you're gone, we're going to rule this town like members of Akane Clan should." said Saku. Osamu was sluggish with his footwork for some reason. Normally, he could wipe the floor with all of his siblings. It was not the case now. "I can't believe you poisoned us. We're your siblings! We're family and you killed them!" he yelled indignantly. "You are upstart peasants. You don't deserve to call yourself my brother!" Hayashi spat. They went at it for another 10 minutes. Osamu was killed but not before he cut down Saku. She was impaled in the throat by his righteous katana. Hayashi was not a total monster. He wept over his dead sister's body for over an hour. He said that he would miss her. He loved her dearly. I was so upset.
I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it! This is a coup! Hoshiko was an agent of the Akane Clan! All 5 of the omega children were married off. They could not be the heirs. Osamu was the only wrench in the slaughter plan. He was simply too strong to go down quietly. Osamu's level had been in the 40s thanks to training closely with Tsukasa and Gakita. This meant the only 2 candidates left for succession were Hayashi and Masahiko. With a young neophyte and a proven, but "tragic" beta male warrior, it was clear what the choice would be. That was if they left him alone. They had no qualms getting rid of everyone else. Things were looking really dire. I looked at the terrified boy. "You need to wait here for a bit. I need to make sure your parents are okay." I instructed. I made him promise not to move unless I was there to get him. Masahiko nodded his head. I left the tower and went into the castle proper. I controlled the Protectors here. "Secure Tsukasa, Hoshiko, Gakita and Moto. Do not let any harm come to them! Go!" I commanded. That mobilized everyone. Was I too late?
As I make my way to the throne room, several warriors and servants were there surrounding Tsukasa and Gakita. It was a relief to see that Tsukasa was still alive. Gakita and Moto were soon brought to me. "Are you alright?" I asked them. Moto was perfectly fine. "I was just mixing an antidote. I was recently poisoned." That made Tsukasa gasp in fear. "Those assassins! They finally struck where we were vulnerable." he hissed in anger. I knew better than that. "Has anyone seen the other concubines?" I asked out loud. Nobody had since breakfast. I sent out some Protectors. After a bit, we found them. Shion, Miyako and Dan were all dead in their rooms. They had been given a lethal dose of poison. Gakita was level 60. He had much more health than the others. Gakita was also a master herbalist. Gakita was able to save himself. Moto not being poisoned was actually pretty suspicious. Then I remembered Masahiko. This was part of a plan. Gakita was a second wrench. If all the concubines died here except Moto, Hoshiko could pin this on him. They all could kill Masahiko without worry.
