I was very amused by their antics. It caused me to take my focus away from Hoshiko and her devious schemes. All of the omegas were sworn to foreign nobles for some new alliances. On the surface, that was totally fine for a lord and lady to do. It was all about the game of thrones after all. Nobles wanted power and influence. However, this was not a fairly shared burden. Tsukasa had 11 children. Hoshiko arranged things so that all the omegas would be married off. Tsukasa was a samurai commander for the Akane Clan. He knew a few of the lords his children would be going to. In his mind, they all would be well taken care of. I could only hope that was the case. If it was not, there would be nothing we could do. 3 out of Gakita's 4 children were omegas. That meant he was going to have to say goodbye. It was pretty sad. Shion only had a daughter. She was named Hinato because Shion was dead set on giving his first born a strong name. Moto was clever and seduced Tsukasa the night he had invited the lord to dinner. Takuya was an alpha. His second son was a neophyte still.
Getting this far without presenting meant that he had a mixed genotype. Beta genes were dominant over alpha and omega genes. The Alpha and omega genes were co-dominant. This meant that a genotype of alpha-omega or omega-alpha would lead to a toss up on what genes expressed themselves. That did not matter. Masahiko was his name. He was the youngest child of Tsukasa. 4 omegas leaving there were only 7 children left. Hayashi was the heir on paper as the beta male son of the lady of the town. However, there were so many alphas that could take his place. Hoshiko could see this as clear as day, that was why she had another scheme. She had convinced the lord, Tsukasa, to allow all the children to go out on a mission. Parties could only have 6 members. This meant that Masahiko would be left behind in the castle. The mission would be to send them all out to the entrance of the dungeon for a week to secure it. They had all the provisions needed. Hoshiko whispered to her 2 children before they left. I took Masahiko to the tower to entertain him. The first 2 days were fine.
