You could never be too careful when it came to protecting your people. As long as the dungeon could still be cleared, I did not really have any place to complain. Now, all the Players just needed to stealth past the guards before getting to the dungeon. If the dungeon was cleared, the next batch of adventurers would have to contend with the death knights. What was the difference? I was not going to make any new Protectors to do this. That would be going against what a Sage was meant to do here. I was to help make things easier. Thankfully, they also did not have the numbers. There was no way in hell that Hoshiko would let go of their grip on the castle town. That would mean ceding control to me. She could not do that if she wanted the Akane Clan coup to come to fruition. That meant that Tsukasa needed to get some warriors from the castle towns. There were still the rival merchant militia factions. As the lord of the land, he could deputize them. With this new increase in the fighting force, he could send them to the mountains to protect the entrance of their dungeon. Good for him.
Zipping past them would be an added challenge. As I was in the process of being dismissed for the day, Moto approached Tsukasa and sat in his lap. "I've made some extra food for my mistress and I. You should come eat with us." he said, nuzzling against the strong alpha male. Tsukasa looked amused. "Are they still making you serve them?" he asked. Moto nodded his head. "My mistress could use some more servants to lighten the heavy burden. I could too." he said. Hoshiko was miffed. "Servants are reserved for those of higher rank. You should not want for things above you." she scolded harshly. Moto ignored her. That made Hoshiko even more upset with him. It was clear what Moto was doing. He was trying to seduce the lord. Good on him. Tsukasa just chuckled. "My wife is right. You should try to restrain yourself. Being so willful will not make you popular with the others." he said. "I am your concubine. As long as you like me, I'm fine. Come and eat." Moto said. Tsukasa followed. Hoshiko looked horrified. "Don't worry, Lady Hoshiko. Tsukasa loves you. That will never change."
It was a fact. It was not a fact that I enjoyed. That did not mean anything though. Tsukasa loved Hoshiko and that would not change anytime soon. She looked at me and rolled her eyes. "I have no clue why Tsukasa-kun tolerates you. You do nothing but cause confusion and scandal in the town." I shrugged my shoulders. "It's probably because I'm really good at what I do. You can see how the builders are extremely proficient at building. There are no workers better than them here or anywhere else. No other builders come close. That is why they get massive protections." She frowned and turned her head. "Many of those omega males are not walk too boldly in the street. They should have alpha mates." she said. I replied "If they want one, they can get one themselves. I don't stop them from finding romance. Some just don't go be with alphas. The ones that do, probably don't want to be in a relationship with alphas that would abuse them on the street." Hoshiko had nothing to say about that. Why would she? She was a beta female. She also did not like all the uppity alpha merchants.
