Obviously, having that happen a certain amount of times would mean that they could die if they were not good at combat. This was fine. This was a video game. Nothing bad would happen other than being frustrated and having to wait a mere 5 minutes to respawn. Eventually, they needed to be good to clear their dungeon. If they wanted to be strong, they needed to show competence. That did not mean that you could only use brute force alone. The undead were vulnerable to radiant damage. This meant that holy magic and enchantments were twice as effective. There were several shrines and temples. We had the capacity to ordain clerics and paladins who were the classes that use holy magic. The 4 shrines dedicated to Ghaunadaur were only staffed by a single priest and 2 Slime Lords as a guard force. The cathedral to Amaterasu had the 2 angel priests. I was sure that they would be willing to waive some of the usual requirements for the sake of membership. Normally, you needed to be level 10 and make a big donation to a church. I bet some holy relics could also spawn in to help.
Personally, that was something that we could capitalize here. Ghaunadaur was a chaotic evil god. Amaterasu was a lawful good goddess. My new pantheon of local gods were all lawful neutral. This meant that you did not really need to get your hands dirty with evil or chaos if you did not want to. You could also choose that path of evil and chaos if you wanted to do so. They did not stay within the castle town after they left the castle. They went towards the mountain to challenge the dungeon. Lance Quaid explained to me that the dungeon was part of my territory. That meant I could watch their progress from a crystal ball in the Sage Tower. It meant I had to go down below the basement of the castle to see them. Before then, I offered to watch the fight with Epsilon. He nodded his head and came with me. He also wanted to see the new function. I think he was also curious about the new Players. That was good. I wanted to hang out with him too. He was a bit sulky. Epsilon only made the Protectors at my urging. He did not want to do much interacting with them. It really creeped him out now.
Quietly, we gathered in the dimply lit stone room with a large crystal ball. I placed my hand on the ball. It lit up and smoke came out of the crystal. Once that white smoke filled up the room, I was able to choose the vantage point to see in the territory. Alternatively, I could follow any person if I knew their name. I wanted to find out what the brothers were up to. The wispy smoke changed colors to represent the scenery around them. They were still travelling through the mountain range. For some reason, all of them were not in their gear. The 3 took a detour and fought a black bear. It was pretty cool. One was a ranger. He was the omega. The beta was a rogue. The alpha brother was a fighter. This meant they were able to surround and defeat the bear. They just harvested the meat for later. Then they moved on towards the entrance of the dungeon. "How far do you think are they going to get?" I asked Epsilon. He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. All of you Players are the same. I could break them all with both my hands tied behind my back." he said with a grin on his face. I smirked too.
