The Click Click Click Click Click of the backspace key on my keyboard filled my room. "Come on Jon. Think!" I mumbled to myself while my eyes fixated on the text on the monitor. In front of me was a text document that had 7 differently worded wishes typed out. "I need this to be as lawyerly as possible..." I mumbled rereading the wishes. "A one month term. That makes sense." My eyes continued to pass over the wishes. "I think I like the paper idea better than an email..." My eyes made even more passes over the wish ideas. "I feel like I need to keep the bits about Karyn in this wish. That way if she were to go crazy with the stone we are both still protected..." My eyes did a couple more passes before I finally settled on the wish iteration that I liked.
Over the course of the next calendar month, I wish that any wish made by myself, or Karyn Black, will have a safety addendum automatically attached to the wish that provides myself, and/or Karyn Black, a method to fully reverse the wish. The safety addendum will be written on a piece of paper that appears after the wish. The addendum will lay out terms/rules designed to protect myself and Karyn Black from irreversible harm or damages as a result of our wishes.
"That's the one." I said smiling at my computer monitor. "It includes the two of us and gives us an out in case we screw up a wish." I paused and tried to imagine what an addendum for Karyn's earlier wish would have said. "Maybe it would have said Karyn would only have blonde hair and big boobs until midnight... Or maybe it would have said that the hair was a wig and the boobs were bra padding... Or maybe it would have given her a safe word to revert back to normal..." I leaned back in my chair and looked up at the ceiling. "This is the way. We've got to play it safe or who knows what could happen to us." I turned my head and looked towards my bed. "Bet!" I said popping up from my chair.
I reached between the box spring and the mattress and pulled out the wishing stone. I held the stone up and studied it briefly before I hurried back to my computer. "Fuck it. Here we go." I said before reading off my wish...
