I gently placed my hands on the enemy's shoulders. "I'm sorry, sir. You have lost this fight." I said gently as he continue to choke the life out of my son. Leonardo was still clawing at the young man's arms in a feral rage. The enemy did not even turn to look at me. "I know this abomination is your child, but do you not have eyes!? He is totally helpless right now! How am I the one that has lost here!?" he demanded. I smiled and said "We agreed that this battle would go to first blood. Unfortunately, while that maneuver you executed was perfect, it did leave you open to having a nick on your face. You can probably feel that thin trickle running down your cheek." His eyes went wide as he finally noticed. It was easy for a trained warrior to ignore pain and damage to the body in order to finish a fight. "So what? You think a small scratch like this is going to stop me?" he asked. "Since my son is not bleeding yet, you have lost this fight. I ask that you get off of him." I responded, tightening my grasp on both his shoulders. Neither of them were wearing armor for the big duel. He just ignored me.
Personally, I was not one that took disrespect kindly. He was also actively trying to kill my son. I moved my hand to a handy pressure point on his neck and he was out in a few seconds. Compressing both carotid arteries, such as through a forceful strike or a chokehold, rapidly reduces the oxygenated blood reaching the cerebrum. That could cause a person to quickly cause consciousness. He was focusing on using his body weight as leverage on the axe on Leonardo's throat. I was a phantom thief who knew a lot about the human body. Jabbing my thumbs into his neck was not something someone in this time period would know to look out for. He slumped forward. I got him off my son and extended my hand to him. "Why didn't you teach us that type of technique?" he asked as he raised himself up on his elbows. I smirked. "Remember that I taught you everything that you know. I did not teach you everything that I know though." I said jokingly. He rolled his eyes. "Sir Raolin taught us to fight with all the polearms, not you." he grumbled before slowly getting up. He did not take my hand.
Quickly, I got right in front of him. I did not want him to pounce on his downed opponent. Stretching out my arms, I said "You won this match against a hateful bigot. I am nothing but proud of you. Can I hug you right now?" I asked. This was a gauge to see how he was feeling. Leonardo looked away from me and sneered at the ground. It was clear that a hug was off the table for now. "You didn't even think that I could win at first. You thought that a weakling like him could kill me. That's why you tried to stop the fight in the first place. Then, you took the glory away from me by knocking him out. I was just about to overpower him. How am I supposed to mock him now!?" he said testily. "I didn't hear a no to the hug idea. I really do want to show affection to my child." I said. He groaned and said "No! I don't want a hug right now. What I want is to beat his unconscious body so badly he never wakes up." I just crossed my arms. "That is a dirty thing to do. He was choking you. I saw the struggle on your face. He had a full mount. You might have outlasted, but you were not overpowering."
