If Jeffery and Anthony really did not want their service, that was fine with me. I could send them off to the capitol. The tourney arena was the perfect place to get noticed by other nobles. I had no doubt they would be champion material there. They were fully ambidextrous. They would be stronger than the average human. Both Lennox and Lenard were blessed by the Great Spirits to be faster. This was on top of their natural speeds, which was pretty slow compared to boys their age. They were built for strength and endurance. Now they were a triple threat. Leonard was already knighted by his mother. He would have access to paladin magic. He could heal and cure disease. Fighting them in serious combat was not something I wanted to do. Johna, Holly and Molly would be going to a magic academy. I had already made my mind up about all of this. Grissell was a bit miffed that my sons were coming over to the Mansfield castle town with us. She wanted to leave them all behind. "Don't you think they would enjoy staying in Huntston? There are more trees here." she asked me. Pathetic.
I looked at her. "While that might be true, I enjoy having my whole family around me as a support system." I had to think about it though. I had the main house and the guesthouse here. Someone needed to stay and watch it for us. The home we had in the capitol was in Anthony and Fabien's names. One of the servants was doing that for them. The house in the bailey we all would move into would be nice. Lyari was a prime candidate, but I wanted him to come with us to continue teaching the girls. He had already said yes to the move. With that being the case, I would have to ask someone in town. There was someone. Barat's plate was not full. He could do it all. It was better than asking a stranger I did not know. It was totally fine with Raolin. He actually preferred if Brody could move into the guest house. That way, he only would have to deal with Cody while he raised his human children. I allowed it. Brody seemed to be pleased that he was being given this responsibility. He was a house steward at a young age. He could read and write so well. It would be really simple to send letters.
It also was not like Enetes would not be going back and forth monthly anyway. I could always ask him to stop by and look at the homes. I could also hitch a ride on his back every so often. That would be a nice compromise. We made our way through packing our things. I was thinking we got everything. Now that we were ready, we got on our wagon. We then began to go. The Brownflank Tribe, led by Petras and Jeran, was honor bound to go wherever their sworn lord, Anthony Swifthunt, was. I was the one driving the carriage with no one at my side. Grissell and all the children were inside. It was very cramped in there. Yon and his wife shared a horse. I had a crossbow for myself. I made sure that I knew how to fire and load bolts incase we were attacked. All centaurs of their tribe were following right behind. It took a day and a half. We took a break over the night. I wanted to make sure Yon and his wife as well as everyone else was doing alright. We partied together and sang for a few hours. Then it was time to put all of the children to sleep. They did not want to, but it was time to chat.
