"So, you wanna go to the mall and hang out? Or just stay here?" Karyn asked.
Jon looked down at his homework. He still had to finish his math and science. So, at least another hour or maybe two. He looked up at Karyn and said "I think I should really finish this. But it would be nice if you gave me some company."
"Sure," she said. "I don't really have anything else to do." She paused. "You want something to eat? I can go down to the kitchen and get something," she offered.
"Maybe later. I just want to get this done as quickly as possible."
She shrugged. "Okay."
