Garrett and Knox were going to have a big tables match on Picric the next day. Knox was not feeling too confident now. It was his first one. "It's okay. It's all about beating your opponents senseless. If you beat them into a pulp first, it is impossible going through the table." I said. His brothers also gave him words of encouragement. Rex and I were getting our title match on Picric. Managed Descent was a shared PPV. That meant there was no defense of the OPW Tag Team Championships. It simply could not fit on the card. Our rivalry was hotter than any match the champions could put on against random challengers. Due to this, it was often better to let the fans see titles on the line the week after or before a PPV. The World Heavyweight Champion and the International Champion defended their titles. They were good for about a month unless something important or exciting came up. Picric opened up with a Women's Championship match. The main event was our match for the tag titles. We all were banned from ringside during the table match. Knox took my advice. He beat Garrett bad.
He won by giving a bloody Garrett a scoop slam over the top rope. This was not before Knox handcuffed his wrists together. Garrett crashed through the table waiting at ringside. It was a 5 star match. That was good for Knox's career. Another 2 5 star tables matches like that would make him a Hall of Famer. The triplets were all Legends, but the next echelon was eluding them. I told Knox that he should challenge Griffin and Grayson to table matches as well. If he could beat the both in 5 star matches, he would be a Table Match Master. When it was time for our title match, Jax was at ringside to manage us. Knox was too tired after his big match. The current champions were a pair of wrestlers that had be champions for 5 months. They were Raphael Phoenix and Zion Haven. They were both supposed to be holy crusaders. We were able to come out on top. Griffin and Grayson tried to interfere, but our manager intercepted them before they could get to the ring. Rex and I were now champions again in OPW. When we got to the back, he said "Sorry Davie, but I have a girlfriend. I do not cheat."
I totally understood. He had Demona Rayne. Getting in between their new relationship would be horrible. Especially when he was under pressure with his mom. There is nothing that could be done. Being tag champion with him was its own reward. Both of us had recorded losses before. I was not too concerned about that. We would hold it for as long as we could. Knox was dating Julie Carter. Dash Forrest and Jax were secretly dating behind the backs of Knox and Rex. I was waiting for all of that to be revealed. Dash had also been laying low in OPW. The steel cage had left him really battered and bruised. He needed time to heal. Dash apparently did not need much time before he could cuddle with Jax. Jax had his title match coming up at Evil Intentions. We were also going to be defending the tag titles. Knox was getting a table match against Griffin. The rivalry between our factions was still as hot as ever. Interferences and backstage brawls made it a spectacle for the fans. Raphael Phoenix and the plucky Zion Haven were getting the rematch. I knew that we could beat them both up again.
