Jax and Rex were fully cleared by the medical staff of OPW for their tag team title match. Matthew Joy and Nathan Hope made up the team "Hope and Joy". When they heard that they were going to be putting the titles on the line so soon, they were pissed. They demanded that it be another tables match. Management agreed with them in hopes of sending us packing. It did not matter to us. We were stacked with skill points from our incredible runs in the company. Knox put them in his Endurance. No matter what Noah and Ethan threw at him, he would be able to take it. He needed to be able to take some hard hits if he was going to be a champion. I put the points I had in Strength. My stat line was now Strength 5.5, Submission 3, Endurance 2, Technique 2.5, Speed 2, Diving 2, Tag 2, Charisma 2.5, Object 2, and Personnel 1. This was still pretty weak, but I knew how to dodge people well enough to not get hit much. I was proud of my growth. Jax and Rex put them in Object. Now that they had a 3 in the Object stat, they could actually summon tables from under the ring themselves.
Instead of waiting for their opponents to do so, they could take charge in a match when there were no disqualifications. It would also cause more damage when they got to use weapons in a match. If they were making 5 star matches with a 0 in the Object stat, this title match would be like an 8 star match. All of us were in peak physical condition. We were banned from ringside, so Knox and I could only watch from backstage. Jax and Rex got their revenge. Matthew and Nathan did not stand a chance in the ring. They were fully destroyed. Rex and Jax had something to prove. Management had never forgiven us for spoiling Rhett's monster debut by beating him twice in the span of a month. Then Jax and Rex made a mockery of the division by running through all of them week after week. That was why they had to spawn in 3 whole new table specialist teams to stop them. They knew that they were not good with weapons, so they stacked the deck against the Police Box. They did not even care when Jax and Rex were stacking injuries. "Hope and Joy" nearly ended their OPW careers here.
As soon as the bell rang to start the match, all hell had broken loose. It was a match with no disqualifications. The only rule was that everyone on either side of the whole conflict was to be banned from ringside during the big title match. This was to keep Knox and I from helping them out. These teams held genuine animosity for each other. They threw punches an kicks like they wanted the victim to die. Jax and Rex were using all the weapons available in the arena against the champions. The new champions were doing the same. Rex and Jax had more Strength and Endurance than Matthew and Nathan. This was where the brothers were able to take the lead. All of the audience were forced to watch this hellacious contest. The 4 men did not want to just win. They each wanted to put the other team in the hospital. Even when the team of Matthew and Nathan had pulled off the rare high flying move, the brothers would shrug it off and apply more pressure on them. All 4 men were bleeding from all over their bodies. Thumb tacks were all over the ring. All men fell in them twice here.
