"He won't let go of me," Kyla told the young librarian woman.
"Let her go," the librarian demanded.
"This is none of your business," Jay said.
"I work here. So, yes, it is my business," she said.
"If you're not going to get out of my way," Jay said, getting angrier. "I wish you'd at least convince Kyla that I'm the one she should marry."
"He's right," the woman said.
"What?" Kyla asked, shocked.
"You have to marry him," the librarian said.
"I don't have to do anything."
The librarian woman grabbed Kyla's other arm. "I can see that you're going to be a problem." She looked at Jay and asked him "Where do want to take her?"
"What's wrong with you?" Kyla asked. "I thought you were trying to help me."
"I am helping you ... by making sure you marry the right guy. It's obvious that this is the one you're supposed to marry."
Kyla tried to struggle free, but was hauled away regardless.
Carl and Leonard looked at each other oddly. "What was that all about?" Carl asked.
