"I wish you didn't want to marry me," Kyla said. This was her second wish, so it was granted to the person closest to her, which was obviously Jay. And Jay was looking at Kyla when her wish was granted.
Kyla glanced across the table at Leonard, then smiled at him. She stood up from her chair and walked over to him, then sat on the edge of the table. "Hi, Leonard," she said, still smiling.
He looked up from his book. "Uh ... hi?"
She ran her hand over his unshaven face and said "I never realized how adorable you were until right now." She leaned in. "Marry me, Leonard."
"What?" Leonard, Jay, and Carl asked in unison.
Kyla sat on Leonard's lap and began to kiss him and rub his overweight body. Jay stood up and pulled her off. "I'm marrying you. Not that tub of lard."
"Hey!" Leonard said, insulted. They were in a library, so a few people nearby looked around and told them to keep the noise down.
"I don't love you, Jay. I love Leonard. And we're getting married. Tonight."
"Don't I have a say in this?" Leonard asked.
"No, because you're not getting married. I am," Jay said, pulling Kyla with him. "Come on."
"Let go of me!" she yelled.
"Is there a problem?" asked the young librarian that Carl was ogling a few minutes earlier.
