04 was not someone that I had fought in a long while. I would rather fight him than 03 now. 03 was probably the closest to defeating me in open combat. "Brianne. Come down to the ring. We have a bit of a tournament and you are one of the fighters that's going to go far." Oswin called. I sighed. "I guess we're all going to be facing random people." I said out loud. "Don't count yourself short. You'll last long enough to face at least one of us." 03 said knowingly. With that being the case, it might be better to just take a dive before things got too real. Not only would it be easier on me, it would also make the AEP units counting on the fight super mad. That was something that I lived to do at this point. I made my way downstairs to the ground floor. All the people were cheering for me. Everyone was amped in the club. The ring was where the dancefloor would be. There was a stage from where the band played. That was where the band was playing some atmospheric music. I entered the ring calmly. People I could see surrounding the ring got louder. I smiled as they cheered even more for me.
Beating the competition was what was expected of me. I was still on the fence until my opponent was announced. He was just some local kid from the town. Apparently, I was not the club's favorite. He was part of this underground fighting ring. Impact Clan would be in the habit of making humans fight for their own entertainment. Oswin did not want to genocide the humans. Neither did 01, 02, or 03 from Volition Clan. They simply wanted to keep humans as pets and lord over them. Some humans liked training their animals to fight for entertainment. Usually, such animal cruelty was considered illegal and stopped. That did not stop people from doing it. Humans liked to watch other humans fight for entertainment as well. Looking him over, he was just a normal NPC. He did not even have any mods to aid in fighting. The crowd still cheered louder for him than they did for me. I was taking it personally. Oswin made sure to needle me with his introduction. "It looks like my friend Brianne is not so well liked here. Maybe this will be Brian's first win in the ring!?" he said jokingly. It was on.

Fully demolishing my opponent's ass was hard not to do in this atmosphere. I felt like a king in the ring. With not an ounce of shame, I beat him to a bloody pulp. It was a squash match. It was also what the Conquerors wanted to see. Everyone went quiet from the ass kicking he was getting. I was in total control of the match. He was food, and I was playing with him. He was not able to get a single scratch on me. Every single person could tell he was not getting even one hit on me. When he went down for the final count, he was a mess. I just crouched down over him and healed him with my paladin Lay on Hands. That got him back to full health. It was a miracle. Everyone was amazed. Brian was too. I would be shocked if it had happened to me. People in the crowd were stunned into silence. I lifted Brian's hand in victory as if he had won too. Brian did not win here today, but it was a great showing for the crowd. They loved him anyway. I then bowed to him politely and left the ring. He bowed back before climbing the ropes and cheering. The crowd went feral. It was a wholesome moment.
